Accidental Death of an Anarchist By Dario Fo, translated by Ed Emery Friday 7th June & Saturday 8th June "An Anarchist has fallen to his death from a Milan police station window. Did he jump or was he pushed? As the police attempt to cover up another scandal, a mysterious imposter is arrested and brought in for questioning. Taking the chance to put on a show, he leads the officers in an increasingly ridiculous reconstruction of their official account, hilariously exposing the cover-ups, corruption and profound idiocy at the heart of the Italian police." This famous political farce is based on the true events of the 1969 Piazza Fontana bombing and the death of Giuseppe Pinelli while being interrogated by the police. Age Advisory: 15+
Performance times: Friday 7th June - 7.45pm Saturday 8th June - 2.30pm & 7.45pm Crowborough Community Centre, Pine Grove, Crowborough, TN6 1FE |
